Professional Development with Drupal

Drupal has quickly revolutionized the web based community CMS applications. With it's large community of developers and it's extremely flexible nature, Drupal can help your organization quickly create a new website, or migrate an existing one. The lure of Drupal, (and Open Source in general), is to dramatically reduce costs (both at the project inception and it's monthly or annual run rate) as well as to increase flexibility and speed to market. However, this can quickly become a trap if not thought through and managed properly. The Drupal Professionals was created by a group of very seasoned enterprise consultants. Having experienced the learning pain of implementing new technologies and methodologies through many generations of enterprise applications, we have focused on not just speed to market, but insuring the continued agility with adding new features and functions, keeping the technologies up to date, and most importantly ensuring that the scalability and security of Drupal based systems meets the critical needs of corporations worldwide. We have HIPAA and PCI security backgrounds, experience with most methodologies, know the value of MVC models, and understand the critical nature of enterprise development. We have been involved in several of the largest successful Drupal roll outs to date. If you are looking for a true Enterprise partner, contact us. We have the expertise and answers you need. Not just that, but we speak your language. We can show how you can add the flexibility of Drupal into your enterprise level architectures and methodologies. Contact us at: pros@thedrupalpros.com

(Yes this is the default drupal install.  Like the cobbler never having time to make his children shoes, our team is actively building drupal sites elsewhere. Eventually, we will have time to custom theme our site. For now, why would you want to fund our marketing effort? Let's talk about our approach and solutions to YOUR needs instead.)  A few of the sites we have worked on are listed here:

Converting Legacy Data to Drupal

One of the biggest risks to any conversion plan is the data or content migration.  This requires expertise in both the old and new application and data structures.  This usually takes lots of development and lots of trial and error.  Worse, the cost and risk are for one time conversion projects.  This is little residual value that the company or team retains from the knowledge gained during this process.

White House releases drupal modules

Drupal Con 2010

This is one of the best conferences for Drupal in the World.  We are expecting a large turnout.  Although we won't have a booth setup (we are a very low overheard company with no dedicated sales or marketing staff), drop us an email if you would like to meet about a project.  Our email is: pros@thedrupalpros.com

We will be blogging what we see at the show, so follow us here:

Drupal Scalability - Analysis and Report

Is Your New Drupal Site Going to Grow Your Business or Leave You Wondering What Happened?

One of the biggest risks of a launch involves launching a new technology or technology version of your website.  Often, You have no idea what to expect you client's experience will be as the site traffic hits your site full on.  The last thing you need is for your site to stop responding, to slow down or even go offline, causing your clients and customers to go elsewhere.
